Moral failure is probably the most damaging problem in churches today. We use the following safeguards to protect the ministry and reputation of the church.
The minister will not counsel with a woman alone. Any counselling with a woman will be done in the presence of another trusted person -- the minister's wife, the woman's husband or father, or some other person.
Any ministry which involves young children will always include at least two adults. In an emergency, if only one adult is able to be present, the ministry will be cancelled.
Any ministry which involves young or teen girls will have at least one adult woman present.
Any ministry which involves young boys will have at least one adult woman present.
The only exception to these policies will be if each child present is accompanied by a parent -- for example, there need not be a woman present for a ministry which involves young boys if the boys are all accompanied by their fathers, as in a father-son activity.
